Description: Bituminous roof tiles are strip waterproofing material produced on the basis of bitumen modified with APP and with a base of glass veil. They are covered on one side with polyethylene film, and on the other side with colored mineral granules (mineral sprinkle). The mineral sprinkle gives the tiles color and finish. It is colored in advance at a high temperature with different types of pigments. This gives the colors resistance, protects the bitumen layer from the action of UV rays and ensures the durability of the roof tiles.
Installation of bituminous tiles: The base for bituminous tiles must be flat and dry. On the entire formwork of boards, OSB boards or plywood, use a suitable rolled bituminous waterproofing (voalit) as a base according to the importer's recommendation. Minimum thickness of the bituminous underlay – 2mm. For greater security, it is recommended to use 3mm bituminous insulation. with polyester reinforcement. Use only galvanized nails when installing. For each cut piece, use at least 4 nails, driving them a minimum of 2 cm above the slot marking the individual sheets and a minimum of 2.5 cm from the end. At a slope of more than 60°, it is necessary to use at least 6 nails, and bituminous roof tiles are recommended to be glued at points with bituminous silicone.
